Like a collage of old photographs, Petria's life is put together from the start, in front of the lens of a camera. Starting from her youth up to the years
of her maturity, the film covers a span of thirty years, as it follows Petria's life. A failed marriage when she was young; a tender relationship with
an older man; and then, finally, love and a stormy cohabitation with a young coalminer. The heroine's relationships with the men of her life lie
at the core of this film. Through the events of a lifetime, that leave behind only photographs yellow with age, we are told the story of a woman's struggle to survive the hardships of life. And behind this struggle there
is always the need for understanding, for tenderness, for peace and tranquility...
