What would you do to make it in the music business? Sleep with a record producer? Play guitar for a sexy latina singer who just wants to get you into bed? Finance a junkie's fatal habit just long enough for him to write you one hit song? Steal, lie, cheat? Gwen, a ruthlessly ambitious, conniving young woman will do anything to ensure her position as the next rock goddess. Gwen gets a job cleaning house for Liz, a production designer looking for New Age love, who just happens to be best friends with actress Eva, wife of famed British rocker Clive. When Eva sets Liz up on a blind date with Clive's bandmate, Burt, Gwen instinctively smells opportunity. She moves in for the kill, sabotages Liz's chances, and seduces Burt -- all in one night. Meanwhile, Clive and his band are trying to get it together for one more hit record. Superstars in the eighties, the Stones-aged guys are now struggling to find a new niche in the unfmiliar nineties environment...
