Gordon is a 25-year-old, unemployed, chain-smoking asthmatic. Cynthia's got her own problems, including bad skin and a history with too many men to count. Now she's spotted Gordon and has seen something in him that no-one else ever has: he could finally be her salvation. She descends on him in a storm of warmth and madness, laughter and terror, Scrabble and sex. Gordon's sedate world is blown away, but he goes willingly into the whirlwind, and for a time it seems they might even save each other. But asthmatics tire easily, and Cynthia's desperate need for Gordon might demand far more than he has to give. So when Rachel comes out of Gordon's past, the lines between devotion and obsession, sex and ownership, Cynthia and Rachel, begin to blur...

Biography
He received a Bachelor Fine Arts Degree from Syracuse University in 1982, and moved to New York City, where
he worked as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer
and then as an art director. In 1986 he moved to Sydney, Australia, set up a company with five other filmmakers,
and began directing music videos and commercials,
before moving on to drama.
