After a long relationship with Pepa, Ivan, an actor who works
with her dubbing films, leaves a message on her answering-machine telling her they're through. Pepa anxiously awaits another call from him, while
at the same time looks for him everywhere, including his house, where
she runs into his wife, Lucia, who has been a patient in a mental hospital
for the past twenty years. Meanwhile, Candela, Pepa's friend, moves in with her in her apartment, as she's having trouble with her terrorrist boyfriend. Carlos, Ivan's son, and his fiancee Marisa also show up at the apartment, intending to rent it, oblivious to the fact that the owner is his father's mistress.
