Madrid, 1970. A prostitute gives birth to her son, Victor, in a bus. Twenty years later, Victor visits Elena, a heroin addict and diplomat's daughter, whom he has recently met. However, Elena is waiting for her dealer,
and she becomes enraged at the sight of Victor. Two police officers,
who happened to be outside Elena's apartment, intervene, and during
the fracas, David, one of the two officers is seriously injured and left paralyzed. In prison, Victor hears that David has married Elena, who is
off drugs and running a charity, while David is on the Barcelona paraplegic basketball team...
