The film chronicles a night in the life of five Cardiff pals plus a baby brother, looking forward to joining the chemical generation. They all have boring jobs, relationship troubles, and the usual dysfunctional families. The meticulously planned and titanically drug and booze-fueled weekend will get them through till next week at least. The characters are likably shallow, and the dialogue is full of contemporary smart-ass humor, while rigorously avoiding insight. There's no violence, no menace, no suggestion of dangerous after-effects, no social comment; just one wild weekend in clubland.
