MAN RAY PROGRAMME
A young American artist, passionate about painting and photography, arrived in Paris in July 1921. He was immediately in touch with French avant-garde artists such as Breton, Aragon, Eluard, Soupault, Picabia, and Cocteau. Man Ray, born Emmanuel Radnitzky in Philadelphia, USA, in 1890, was a painter, a photographer and filmmaker, an eminent Dadaist and Surrealist. His film essays reveal his wandering curiosity, his genius for experimentation and his iconoclasm.
