Two brothers: Vicente, 17 years old, Nino, 10. A little town on the bank of the Tagus. It's Christmas. It's New Year's Eve. A secret they keep: why is Father gone? Where to? Vicente knows. Born in Lisbon, in 1959, he cut short his history studies
to pursue a course in film directing and editing with AntUnio Reis at the Lisbon Film School. He worked as assistant director on several Portuguese productions,
and in 1987 directed his first shorts, a series of films
for children, produced by Portuguese television.
