Are personal relationships based purely on tough negotiations about having power, and are they fed solely by conflicting impulses, sadomasochism included? Marie will try to unlock these mysteries, one after the other, by posing each question to herself in a candid manner, before all these men who seem to accord candour a select position among male attributes. Egocentric Paul is not prepared to satisfy Marie the way she would like; indeed, his sexual orientation appears undefined, and he hasn't shown Marie any true sign of affection. Thus, Marie will embark on a personal odyssey, where sex with men will be her number one priority, in an effort to experience physical pleasure and define what it actually is.
