Nicolas is in his early twenties. He is the oldest son of a rich family ruled by his mother, a formidable businessowman, and he spends his days in the neighboring town. In contrast to his background, he works as a cleaner and dishwasher in a bistrot. He is also a bit of an alcoholic, like his father, whose only function in the family is to father children (and it is indeed a large family). His friends are hoodlums, homeless or simple folk from the area he frequents. The girls he meets are often beautiful, and it's a shame they're not interested in someone who could love them. Life is fairly difficult, but, all things considered, it's not all that bad either. However, one evening, Nicolas follows the gang in a venture that is more risky than usual.

Biography
Born in 1934, in Georgia, he studied Mathematics at the University of Moscow, and Film Direction at the Moscow Film Institute.
