SYNOPSIS

New Year's Eve, 1976. A hunting party near the Lake of Ioannina finds, half-buried in the deep snow, the body of a rebel from the Civil War. Fresh blood flows from his wound, even though thirty years have passed. The hunters, all of them representatives of the bourgeoisie, both political and economic, carry the body to their hotel, where they will spend a night filled with the ghosts of their historical conscience and the fear of the past. Towards the end of the film, the rebel comes alive in the imaginations of the terrified hunters and becomes an avenger in the name of the revolution. Following his decision, the representatives of the bourgeoisie are executed, only to rise again, as they awake from a bad dream. The dead body will return to the snow, and the hunters will go on their way through the snow-covered landscape...

The film participated in the 1977 Cannes Film Festival, and was awarded the Golden Hugo at the Chicago Film Festival, as well as the award of the Association of Turkish Film Critics.
