Spyros is a teacher in a small provincial town, where he has spent all his life. Following the wedding of his daughter and the departure of his son, who has gone to attend university in Athens, Spyros also sets out on a journey. Abandoning his teaching job, his home and his wife, he will travel across the country with his beehives, the way his father and his father before him had done, following springtime, following the bees. His encounter with a young woman will bring rekindle forgotten feelings and memories. For him, the past is everything; for her, it is nothing. However, Spyros, an old leftist and fighter, is alone with his past and too tired to fight the struggle of life: he will die, submitting without resistance to an attack by his own bees...
