The film poster is a tool for providing information on a specific film. As an image, also, it introduces the spectator to the atmosphere and the climate of the film. The world of Theo Angelopoulos films is introduces to the public by way of 50 posters, which cover almost the entire work of the producers and distributors, both locally and abroad. These posters, wellknown and also rare, accompanied the screenings of the director' s films all over the world. Among others are the unique Greek poster for Reconstitution; the Japanese poster for Alexander the Great, which is the only one left for this specific film; posters for Days of '36 (Greek and French); The Travelling players (French, Japanese and Swedish); Voyage to Cythera (Greek and Japanese); The Beekeeper (Greek, Japanese and French); Landscape in the Mist (Greek, French, Italian, Spanish, American and Yugoslav); The Suspended Step of the Stork (Greek and Japanese); Ulysses' Gaze (Greek, French, Japanese, Italian, American, Taiwanese). The poster exhibition, which was organised within the framework of the tribute to Theo Angelopoulos, provides the public with an opportunity to tour the films of this Greek director, but in a different way.
