While looking for locations for his films we have toured, with Theo Angelopoulos, tens of thousands of kilometres in the mountains of Greece and the Balkans. Our experiences were many and so were our adventures; thousands of metres of negative film both before and after the actual filming. What is one to choose from all these frames for an exhibition? With beloved persons as a benchmark, some still here and others gone far from us, and beloved scenes as well, I have made a small selection of photographs which I dedicate to my friend Mikes Karapiperis, whom we miss so much.
