The Kalfayan Gallery, together with New Horizons, is presenting the first individual exhibition by Mark Hadjipateras in Thessaloniki, entitled "One Time One Dream". In the works exhibited, which are paintings of the past two years, we can see forms and characters with vivid anthropomorphic traits, reminiscent of animals, robots and machines. They seem to belong to a magical world, a bridge that links the world of children to the world of grownups. Perhaps it is the inhabitants of the microcosms that Hadjipateras has been creating and exhibiting for the past fifteen years that have become emboldened, deciding to present themselves to us or ever dominate us.

Mark Hadjipateras was born in London, where he studied Fine Arts. He has been living and working in New York since 1982. He has participated in 60 group shows and has held 15 individual exhibitions in New York, London, Athens and Tokyo.

His works will be installed in the 28th Street Station, on the historical Broadway line of the New York subway. At this time, his work "Queens Assembly" is being shown at the State Museum of Modern Art (Lazariston Monastery), as part of the Exhibition "Modern Odysseys - Greek - American Artists". Hadjipateras is represented in museums, as well as private and public collections all over the world.
