SYNOPSIS

Christos is a twelve-year-old boy, who lives with his divorced mother on a remote Aegean island. He is gifted with an extraordinary musical talent, but he is in danger of losing his eyesight due to a rare illness. An idiosyncratic, solitary child, Christos seeks refuge in nature, collecting sounds which he then converts into musical compositions on his violin. His only friends are a girl he goes to shool with and the old lighthouse keeper, who is also Christos's music teacher and mentor. Christos's life will change when a young schoolteacher, Maria, arrives on the island. Recognising the boy's unique talent, Maria arranges for him to participate in a musical contest to be held in Athens...
