During a prolonged strike of the Athens garbage collectors, three completely different characters end up in the same prison cell: a conscientious chemical engineer, who works for a big corporation; a Russian mathematician who is reduced to selling contraband cigars outside the Athens Stock Exchange, and a junk dealer, who likes to think of himself as dealing in antiques. Despite their very different backgrounds, the three men will become friends and go on to found "Very Poor Inc.", a company that specialises not only in the recycling of garbage, but also of people...

Antonis Kokkinos

Biography
He studied civil engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and film direction at the Stavrakos Film School. He has worked as an assistant director and executive producer on numerous film and television productions.
He has produced many radio programmes, and he directed and produced the series "The Adventures of a Poem",
as well as documentaries for television and commercials.
His film End of an Era won the Best Film Award and seven additional awards at the Thessaloniki Film Festival in 1995.
