SYNOPSIS

A black situation comedy, which takes place in the spring of 1999, on a ship travelling from Montenegro to Piraeus, but which is stranded in the middle of the sea. The main hero, Yuri, a Russian Ulysses of Greek descent, a practical trickster and a schemer, gradually reveals the enigma that lies at the core of his ex-wife, Elena Fodor, though it is questionable whether she truly is of the female sex, and her adopted daughter Antigone, a postmodern Lolita. Yuri's fellow travellers include a Greek-American woman, who has spent 17 years in prison and is now in search of her Greek roots; a drunken bum named Aesop, who comments on world events; two tight-rope walking magicians, suspicious looking types and would-be murderers; and a gigolo named Federico, who acts like an endangered species.
