Alain is a 37-year-old lawyer. Discouraged by his life, which just seems to be going round in circles, he proposes marriage to Laurence, the woman he works for. He knows that she loves him. Twenty-one-year-old Christophe is also in love with him, but Alain is reluctant to get involved. When Alain meets sexy, dangerous Marc, the only way to get close to him is to become the messenger of Marc's passion for Babette, an entrancing woman, whose charms Alain finds it hard to resist. Unfortunately, by this time, Christophe has moved into Alain's flat, while Laurence is expecting his child and his hand in marriage. Will Alain find a compromise that will be acceptable to all?
