A group of curious characters, all illegal aliens, struggle to survive or hit the jackpot in the German city of Mannheim. Branko from Croatia and Merab from Georgia are two hapless hit men assigned to kill a businessman for reasons unknown. Merab doesn't have the stomach for killing, and bores his acquaintances with impromptu lectures about the customs and culture of his native Georgia. Branko's cadaverous old mother should have died long ago, but keep responding to Merab's Georgian toasts to health and longevity. Absurd coincidences prevent them from carrying out their mission, and so they join forces with Carlos, a gigantic refugee from Haiti, and his girlfriend, Lan, a tiny Vietnamese prostitute. But again, the unsuspecting victim eludes them and, instead, a thoroughly unexpected murder takes place.
