SYNOPSIS

Hitoshi Kijima, a veteran of WWII, still blames himself for having to leave his fellow-soldier, Kanayama, at the front, on a southern island, to die. But though Kijima returned alive, his entire family was killed in an air raid. Desperate, Kijima briefly turned to a life of crime, but now leads a quiet life. One day, Tamio Ito, a fellow veteran, invites Kijima to a reunion of their company. Though at first reluctant, Kijima finally agrees to attend when he learns that Yuriko, Kanayama's granddaughter will be there. Yuriko's boyfriend has just got a job with a company called Utopia Corporation, that in fact swindles old people out of their money. Risking his life, Kijima will attempt to expose the company for what it is.
