Ariane lives with Simon in a grandiose Paris apartment, under surveillance. Simon wants to know everything about her, has her accompanied wherever she goes, seeks to catch her out, and subjects her to endless questioning. However, Ariane manages to preserve for herself a space of mental and physical freedom.
