Biography
He was born in Barcelona, in 1945. Having directed theatrical plays from the age of 21, he took Spanish cinema by surprise in 1978, with Ocaèa, Intermittent Portrait,
a documentary exercise in style. He founded his own production company in 1985, and has since become
one of Catalan cinema's most renowned directors.
