SYNOPSIS

Yuri Glinski is the Chief Surgeon and a brain specialist in a Moscow Hospital. He is also a General in the Red Army and the father of a large family. Early on in 1953, things begin to collapse when, on Stalin's initiative, the KGB organises the "White Coats" conspiracy, which drags the General, via his doppelganger, into a dark story, tainted with anti-Semitism. The General flees, but is soon apprehended and sent to a gulag where he is tortured. Meanwhile, Stalin is dying. Beria frees the General and appeals to him to use his medical expertise to save the People's Little Father. Ten years later, having left both Moscow and his family, we find the General on a train crossing Russia, as the leader of a gang, which sells anything and everything. A chaotic train of history and life. Some choose their path, and others submit to it. The General chooses his, and Russia will always be Russia.
