John Yorick (1968) and Joseph Kay (1970) are brothers. They studied philosophy at the University of New York. In 1990, they collaborated with their father on the screenplay of the film Thirty Door Key. Under the alias Michael Lyndon, John Yorick co-wrote the screenplay for Skolimowski's film Success Is the Best Revenge, and played one of the main roles, as he did in his father's next film, The Lightship. Under the alias Jerry Skol, Joseph Kay played a small part in Success Is the Best Revenge.
