Anthony Fielding, a composer of electronic music, lives with his wife, Rachel, in an English village. One day, a bearded stranger, Charles Crossley, waylays Anthony, invites himself to lunch, and proceeds to regale his reluctant hosts with tales of the magical beliefs of the aboriginies, with whom he spent eighteen years. He has returned with various gifts: a bone that can kill a person; the ability to 'imprison' a woman's heart by taking something that belongs to her (Crossley subsequently steals a buckle from one of Rachel's shoes); and the power to emit a death-dealing terror shout...
The film shared with Marco Ferreri's Ciao maschio, the Jury's Special Prize
at the 1978 Cannes Film Festival.
