Julia is a woman like any other. One day, her husband leaves her for another woman. Suddenly, everything she fought for has disappeared. Julia practiced abortions and witchcraft to support herself, her husband and her two children. When she is abandoned, her world crumbles; she has nothing left. Her landlord repossesses her house, and she no longer has a place to live. She only has her children. But, soon, her pain and sadness harden into courage and a desire for vengeance. She has to avenge herself. She will not allow him to break her heart and walk out just like that. For Julia, the die is cast, and there is no going back.

Biography
He was born in Mexico, in 1943. In 1962 he worked as assistant director on Luis Buèuel's The Exterminating Angel, and in 1965 he made his own first film, Tiempo de morir, based on a script by Gabriel Garcßa Mðrquez and Carlos Fuentes. Such is Life is his 23rd feature film and his 9th collaboration with Paz Alicia Garcßadiego. He is one of the most important filmmakers in the world today.
