"AGIA SOFIA" LODGING
NOVEMBER 11-12
Cinema of the gypsies is not just another film title. It is a reality to be experienced at the "Agia Sofia" lodging (previously the Gonou camp) on November 11th and 12th.
The Thessaloniki Film Festival, in collaboration with the Supervising Office for the Relocation of the "Agia Sofia" lodging, will be screening two films by Toni Gatlif in a designated area of the model lodging to be viewed by the 1,500 gypsies residing there.
The film Vengo will be shown on November 11th at 7:00 p.m., while Latcho Drom on November 12th. Both of Toni Gatlif's films depict the reality of the Gypsy lifestyle, as the director himself shares the same ancestry.
Toni Gatlif will be present at the lodging on Saturday's screening.
