HELLENIC ASSOCIATION OF FILM CRITICS

BEST GREEK FILM AWARD
42ND INTERNATIONAL THESSALONIKI FILM FESTIVAL

The Hellenic Association of Film Critics has determined that this year's Greek film production includes an increased amount of films and an encouraging variety of styles, aesthetics, scripts and thematics.

A new generation of bold filmmakers with a desire to express their social concerns and anxieties at the Festival ushers the already established generation of filmmakers at the front line of cinema.

Based on these resolutions, the Hellenic Association of Film Critics has decided to award two films:

One day in August, by Constantine Giannaris for its receptive and narrative composition, pertaining to fragile, excessive, though everyday characters.

Still looking for morphine by Yannis Fagras, for its bold and aggressive aspect, which exceeded its financial limitations of production and social-cinematographic precepts.
