MARCO BELLOCCHIO - PRESIDENT

Piacenza, 1939. He studied film at Rome's Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and London's Slade School of Fine Arts. At the age of 26, he made his first feature, I pugni in tasca, which won an award at the Locarno
Film Festival and won him international acclaim. He has since made another 15 feature films. Nonconformist and uncompromising, his work criticizes the repressive aspects of the principal social institutions.

BOB RAFELSON

New York, 1933. He studied philosophy at Dartmouth College and the University of Benares, India. His film Five Easy Pieces (1970) gained him international acclaim and received two Academy Award nominations, for Best
Screenplay and Best Film. He has collaborated with Jack Nicholson on six films, of which the best-known is The Postman Always Rings Twice. Many of his films are adaptations of noir novels.

THIERRY JOUSSE

NIKI KARIMI

festivals, such as San Sebastian, Taormina and Cairo. In 2001 she directed a documentary entitled "To Have or Not to Have", which won an award at the Iranian Documentary Film Festival.

MIROLJUB VUCKOVIC

1996. Alternative Head, a video documentary shot in 1996 won several awards at international festivals. Çis film Tirana Year Zero won the Golden Alexander at the 42nd Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

Cairo, 1946. His publications include prose writing, collections of literary and film essays, as well as about forty translations, among which almost the entire literay oeuvre of Jorge Luis Borges and Luis Sepulveda,
