STATE CINEMA AWARDS 2002
The Ministry of Culture State Cinema Awards for 2002 will be presented in an evening full of cinema at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall on Monday, November 18th at 21:00.

Six artists renowned for their achievements in cinema will be honoured during the ceremony. The artists include actors Nikos Kourkoulos (presenting the awards for Best Actress and Supporting Actress) and Aleka Paizi (presenting the awards for Best Actor and Supporting Actor), cinematographer Andreas Bellis (presenting the awards for Best Cinematography, Sound, Editing and Makeup) stage designer Tasos Zografos (presenting the awards for Best Stage Design and Costumes), director Pantelis Voulgaris (presenting the awards for Best Direction, New Director and Documentary) and composer Dimitris Papadimitriou (presenting the award for Best Music). The Best Screenplay award will be presented by Menis Koumandareas.

Six well-known singers will perform songs for the awardees. Dionisis Savopoulos and Nikos Papazoglou will sing in honour of Pantelis Voulgaris, Eleftheria Arvanitaki in honour of Dimitris Papadimitriou, Dimitra Galani in honour of Tasos Zografos, Kostas Makedonas in honour of Aleka Paizi and Dimitris Poulikakos in honour of Andreas Bellis. The musical arrangement will be by Tasos Rousopoulos. Stavros Ksarhakos' song, Ta rologia will be performed for Nikos Kourkoulos, who first performed it in cinema.

The Minister of Culture, Evangelos Venizelos will present the First Prize for Fiction Film, the Minister of Macedonia-Thrace, Yorgos Paschalidis, will present the Second Prize for Fiction Film, while the president of ERT, Aggelos Stagos, will present the Third Prize for Fiction Film. Actor Spiros Papadopoulos will be presenting the ceremony which will be broadcasted live from ET1 and directed by Andonis Kioukas with the help of Katerina Evagelakou. Television direction is by Kostas Arvanitakis, lighting by Andreas Bellis, set design by Tatiana Sarli and production by Manolils Sardis.
