E-MAGIC CLOSES ON SATURDAY
e-magic, one of this year's events of the 43rd International Thessaloniki Film Festival which presented the wide range of artistic creativity developed on the Internet, closes today, Saturday, November 16th at club "Mylos". This year's e-magic event aspires to become an annual international convention and a competition festival for Internet multimedia in the framework of the Thessaloniki Film Festival.

At 6:00 in the afternoon Lida Papakonstantinou will be presenting samples of her work and speak about art performance in Greece. The event will close with two midnight screenings at "Ksilourgio" of club "Mylos" titled "Black e-night". Dr. Caligari will be screened at midnight with a live musical performance by Sakis Papadimitriou and Georgia Silleou, and Reefer madness at 2:00 A.M. with live music and visual performances by Haris Martis.

The e-magic event lasted for five days and was divided into 5 thematic categories: The work of the theoretician of experimental cinema Lev Manovich, the tribute to the pioneering producers of Internet multimedia, the Internet presentation of work made for other media, a presentation of audio-visual productions made exclusively for the Internet and the production of music on the Internet.

The two-day meeting titled cinem@net that dealt with the present and future of Internet multimedia with the attendance of Greek and foreign specialists was extremely successful. e-magic net tv, e-magic's television station, was also a huge success. Those interested had the chance to watch the broadcast via Internet through the 43rd International Thessaloniki Film Festival's site.

Coordinating the event are Dimitris Skoufis, electrician, ART TOPOS, Anna Hatzigiannaki, art historian, Nikos Giannopoulos, director and producer, and the European Meeting for New Art and Technologies.
