Minor Mishaps takes place in present day Copenhagen, and tells the story of five members of a family, which finds itself in crisis following the sudden death of the matriarch, Ulla. In this collection of five intertwining stories, we follow Ulla's husband, John, the old joker, irresponsible and ill with a heart problem he ignores; Eva, living in self-imposed exile; Tom, the good boy in the middle with no self-awareness; Marianne (Maria Wurgler Rich), who never ventured from the nest, and is now without mother, or boyfriend; and Soren, John's brother, 50 and ready to retire, or so he thinks. Ulla's death throws them all into a state of self-reflection and turmoil.
