Nariman Turebayev
He
was born in Kazakhstan, in 1970. He studied at the Moscow Institute
of Steel and Alloys and then at the Arts Academy in Kazakhstan, from
where he graduated. In 1998 he worked as assistant director on Ardak
AmirkulovÕs film 1977, for which he also wrote the screenplay. His
second short film, Antiromantika, was screened at the Cannes Festival
official selection and also won the Grand Prix at the Angers Festival.
