Victor Erice from Spain is a special kind of director. Born in 1940, Erice directs his first film in 1969, becomes well-known in 1973 with his masterpiece Soul of the Bee and since then produces one film per decade. His work amounts to a total of 5 films, including his latest Ten Minutes Older: the trumpet, which he worked on with directors such as, Werner Herzog, o Jim Jarmusch, o Spike Lee and Wim Wenders. The 45th Thessaloniki Film Festival presents a complete retrospective of his work accompanied by a publication of a monograph.
