Crossroads (November 24-26) is a co-production forum, a new event taking place under the auspices of the 46th Thessaloniki International Film Festival. Mediterranean and Balkan producers with a feature film script, will be offered the chance to meet a new network of financiers, co-producers and leading industry specialists from all of Europe.

Crossroads takes place for three days from November 24 to 26 this year, the closing weekend of the Festival.

The programme is varied and provides the opportunity to meet, formally and informally, distributors, broadcasters, sales agents and consultants who can offer confidential advice on everything from legal matters to strategies for raising money. This event will also signal the start of a new relationship between these countries and the international film community, all of whom are culturally united through the international language of cinema.

Crossroads' goal is to support the producers of feature-length fiction film projects that contain a link to the Mediterranean and Balkan regions.All the selected projects are either produced or co-produced by a country in this area or are movies that contain story elements based in this region.

The Crossroads projects were selected based on the quality of the script, the creative team and the likelihood of being made.The 27 selected projects come from the following countries: Greece, Norway, Portugal, Serbia & Montenegro,Turkey, N. Ireland, Israel, Croatia, Cyprus, Albania, FYROM, Bulgaria, Romania and Palestine. The involvement of producers from the Mediterranean and the Balkans will ensure the programme has a natural warmth.
