The 54th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (1-10 November 2013) concluded with its traditional award ceremony on Saturday night. The Festival's highest honor, the Golden Alexander - Theo Angelopoulos Award, was presented to the film La jaula de oro (The Golden Dream) directed by Diego Quemada-Diez. The Silver Alexander - Special Jury Award was given to the film Suzanne by Katell Quillévéré, while the Bronze Alexander - Special Jury Award for Originality and Innovation to the film Pelo Malo (Bad Hair) by Mariana Rondon.
The 54th edition, which gave emphasis to independent filmmaking, attracted cinema goers who filled the theaters to the brim. For 10 days films from all over the world, important guests, parallel events and cinematic surprises celebrated the art of cinema. See you next November!
