Tributes, Spotlights and Retrospectives of a number of outstanding documentary filmmakers. In particular the 4th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival will highlight the works of the following directors:

Werner Herzog: A tribute to the celebrated director presenting a selection of his full-length documentaries.

Bruce Weber: The renowned American photographer will be in the spotlight of this year's event through an extensive presentation of his work as a documentary filmmaker.

Monica Treut: A selected filmography of the acclaimed German filmmaker will be showcased, underlining her contribution to the exceptional handling of transgressive subjects.
