"The Song of Life" tells the tale of Zachynthos island's Jewish community and their remarkable survival during World War Two. Also set in wartime is Andreas Apostolides' film about a heroic Ukranian football team. Links to the ancient past are considered in "Guardians of Time" (about archaeology and myths) and director Nikos Alevras' "logs" of his sea trip from Troy to Ithaca. Yiorgos Kolozis interviews both African immigrants in Athens and a young Greek rock band. A slice of northern city Kastoria's revelry is offered by "www.ragouzaria.gr". Finally directors like Giannis Leondaris consider the hasty pace of a modern life that is clocked by stock markets, fast food and phone sex.
