Austria's Fennesz
will be appearing for the first time in the city of Thessaloniki,
and his set will include material from his much-awaited new
work, "Venice", as well as from past recordings. His musical
compositions have established him as one of the most interesting
and satisfying composers of contemporary electronic music.
He has collaborated, among others, with David Sylvian, Pan
sonic, Jim O Rourke, and Pita, and he has received rave reviews
in publications such as Wire, Brainwashed, New York Times,
ei, Muzik, et al.
Coti, one of the most important composers of electronic
music in Greece today, will be visiting the city of Thessaloniki
to present his music after quite a few years. His appearance
is directly linked to the release of his new double album
"Vertice". Of Greek-Italian origin, Coti has been on the
electronic
music scene since the mid-eighties, and has
at times participated in several groups and projects, while
he has collaborated, among others, with: Blaine Reininger,
Stereo Nova, Evan Parker, and Nikos Veliotis. He has also
written music for the theatre, cinema and television.
The concert is organized by "360", a company for the application
of new technologies and arts, in collaboration with the
6th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival - "Images of the
21st Century".
