| "Terrorism -
The Politics of Violence" is the topic of the Conference
scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 18th at 12.00 in
the STAVROS TORNES auditorium at Pier 1 of the Thessaloniki
Port.
The national attributes of the phenomenon of terrorism,
the implications of September 11th as a landmark in its
evolution, as well as international terrorism in perspective
will be among the topics discussed and analyzed by the
FestivalŐs guests. The discussion will be coordinated
by journalist Stelios Kouloglou.
The panel is comprised of:
* Mary Bosi (Greece): Political scientist and professor
at the Department of International Relations at the School
of Law of the University of Thrace.
* Yorgos V. Papakonstadis (Greece): High-ranking officer
of the Greek police and commander of the Rethimno Police
Academy.
* Antonio Solaro (Italy): Journalist and analyst of modern
Greek history.
* David Ofek (Israel): Director. Born in Tel Aviv. Studied
at the Jerusalem School of Cinematography.
* Jon Blair (United Kingdom): Director and producer.
* Ismat Sabri (Palestine): Deputy Minister of the Diplomatic
Delegacy of Palestine.
