Living Dangerously: Honorary Golden Alexander to Nikos Perakis
Tuesday November 7th - 20:00, Olympion
The 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival presents in a fully accessible screening, sponsored by accessibility sponsor Alpha Bank, Living Dangerously, a monumental film by Nikos Perakis. Admission is free on issue of a zero-value ticket. Before the screening, the Festival honors the body of work of Nikos Perakis, one of the most distinctive and daring voices of contemporary Greek film production, bestowing him the honorary Golden Alexander for his contribution to cinema. This life achievement award frames the Festival’s tribute that includes five films that highlight his great work both as a director and as a production designer. The award is handed by the long-time friend and collaborator of Nikos Perakis, iconic director Volker Schlöndorff (whose film The Tin Drum [1979] received the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film).

*All universally accessible screenings are free for the public, upon issuance of a zero-price ticket
