Cinematographers are ready for their close-up

Do we think we understand exactly what a DoP does? What decisions they make, what inspires them, how they handle light, shadows, color, camera movement, and emerging technologies? A discussion with both seasoned and up-and-coming filmmakers will provide us with an insightful look behind the camera, broadening our perspective to the vast dimensions of the cinematic experience. The Greek Society of Cinematographers / GSC, in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Film Festival, is organizing an open discussion featuring the participation of the audience and the following Directors of Photography (DoPs) as guest speakers: Antonis Zkeris, Theodoros Mihopoulos, Vladimir Subotić, and Thomas Tsiftelis. The discussion will also include members of the GSC’s Board of Directors, Christos Alexandris, and George Frentzos. The event will be moderated by film critic Poly Lykourgou (flix.gr, NOVA TV)
