The Panorama of Greek Cinema forms an integral part of the Festival and allows the foreign and local film business community, as well as the Greek and international press, to see recently produced films and to be acquainted with the new tendencies in Greek cinema.

The constantly increasing number of Greek films have urged the Festival to create new tools in order to improve the presentation of the Greek films in Thessaloniki. There has been an attempt to upgrade the communication and promotion facilities.
Among the new services available are:

· An all-day operating permanent secretariat of the Greek Cinema Department, providing on a daily basis updated information on Greek films to our foreign guests as well as assisting for setting up meetings between the latter and the Greek film directors present in the Festival.

· Video-on demand, a videotheque with 16 independent viewing booths for video-on demand screenings of all Greek and foreign films, presented in the Festival.

· "Greek Films 2002", a bilingual publication, featuring the Greek films produced this year, to be distributed to our foreign guests.

· Meet the Greek directors, a special get-together event introducing to our foreign guests the Greek directors, present with their films in the Festival.
