This year a new institution was initiated within VideoDance Festival: Project Exchange. This project aims to bring closer choreographers and filmmakers promoting Greek dance films production. For this purpose, the International Thessaloniki Film Festival through a project selection process joins the production of two dance films per year as a co-producer. This year's co-productions are: 9:00 AM (chor. Katerina Papagheorghiou, dir. Yiorgos Lanthimos) and Frida (chor. Eleftheria Rizou, dir. Dimitris Koutsiabassakos). In the long term, Project Exchange aims to create the conditions for a real exchange between choreographers and filmmakers. Hoping that more institutions will be involved next year as sponsors and co-producers, we expect projects and ideas from all interested parts.
