Determined by the elements that make it up, a story is woven around fragmentary images of a work site at an unspecified point in time. In an illustration of aspects of another reality, human figures and shapes of building material intermingle, couple and clash with each other in a game of movement and stillness, light and shadow in a girl's imaginary world.

A choreography that has been danced... / A performance that is over... / A spectator saving up instances in the drawers of memory... / Gestures... Regards... / The camera lens is the spectator's recollection of the performance... / The recollection of the choreography makes up a new choreography... / With a new music... / With a new meaning. (D.M.)
The performance "Wannabees in Doubt" was given in June 2001 in Amsterdam. Dimitris Markantonatos filmed all three times as well as the rehearsals, and his film is based on this material. The music was written for the film.
