The way the camera records space invokes proliferating surveillance cameras and the way they mechanically scan, providing visual control of public spaces in order to render them safe. This dance, performed in such a space, paranoid with the duty of safety, reacts to these conditions.

Phuong Nguyen is a dancer / choreographer living and working in Berlin. She has studied dance in Berlin, the Netherlands and Melbourne, where she concentrated on dance for the camera. She is mainly interested in working with artists from different disciplines.
