Til Madness Do Us Part

Feng Ai

In a secluded mental institution, 50 men live locked on the same floor, maintaining minimal contact with the outside world or even the personnel. Focusing on the everyday details of people that are forces to the margins, and in tune with the relentless rhythm of compulsive behavior, the filmmaker delivers a piece of raw emotional power and unspeakable beauty, which renders a ferocious critique of the system that penalizes disease and contaminates otherness.
