In the outskirts of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, favelas are given female names. Α neighbouring slum is called Baronesa, and the sound of this aristocratic name is the only thing that gives Andréia the hope for a better future, as she’s about to leave her neighborhood and change her life. Director Juliana Antunes and her almost entirely female crew settle in a slum in order to listen to stories of other women, for whom incredible dangers can even come with the rain.
