The brief stay of a 20-year-old Australian girl in the heart of Brooklyn agitates two households, as it reminds each family member what their lives used to look like, what they look like today, and what will never be. Drawing on the cinema of Éric Rohmer, Alex Ross Perry takes us on a journey to the microcosm of a New York neighborhood in the most beautiful time of the year and gifts us the valuable company of some bemused, yet luminous characters.

Alex Ross Perry

Alex Ross Perry was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in 1984. He attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and worked at Kim’s Video in Manhattan. He is the director of the films Impolex, The Color Wheel, Listen Up Philip and Queen of Earth. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
